Neko Stay ("the App") is developed and operated by Akiya Labs. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Neko Stay does not require account creation or login. We collect minimal data to provide and improve the App experience:

Location Data: If you grant permission, the App accesses your device's location to show nearby stays. This data is processed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Favorites: Stays you save as favorites are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is not transmitted to any server.

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as which screens are viewed and which categories are popular) to improve the App. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party services including:

Booking.com and Agoda: When you tap "Check availability," you are redirected to their websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave the App.

Google Maps: The App uses Google Maps SDK to display the interactive map. Google's privacy policy applies to map data.

Google Places API: Accommodation data, photos, reviews, and ratings are sourced from Google Places. Google's terms of service apply.

Data Storage

All user preferences and favorites are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store personal user data. No account, email, or personal information is required to use the App.

Advertising

The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob in future updates. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Affiliate Links

The App contains affiliate links to Booking.com, Agoda, and other travel services. When you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not affect the information displayed in the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
